Terminal Journal with Encryption

  • Vim, obviously
  • Encrypted, so that only I can read and write
  • Timestamps, all over the freaking place. So I know when I wrote it. Even more granular than git?
  • Backups, so that I can be happy in knowing that my words are safe for me to peruse later.

I need to find this soon. SetStat is going to be for the numerical or the enum data that’s out there, but for the long-form journaling for the rest of us, this needs to happen not in a web browser. Writing in a <textarea> actually sucks, and no matter how much my previous web-centric view might come true in the future future, this is the present, and presently there are problems to be solved.
